Why Sunny’s?

It’s the delicious family style, scratch made food, and friendly service!

Where it all started.

In 2016, Sunny's Diner opened its doors for the first time. Sunny, the owner and namesake of the Diner, had a lifelong passion for cooking and a desire to create a place where people could come together over the same delicious food she made for her own family.

Soon, the Diner became a popular spot for locals and visitors alike. We take pride in creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere where everyone feels like family.

Sunny's commitment to using fresh, high-quality ingredients and serving up classic dishes with a smile earned a reputation for excellence. Our home-baked breads and cinnamon rolls became especially popular, drawing customers from all over town.
We’re excited to be so well received to now be opening our 3rd Sunny’s Diner.

So come on in and experience the passion and dedication that went into creating Sunny's Diner. We can't wait to serve you!

Scratch Made

At Sunny's Diner, we believe that scratch-made food is the key to great taste. That's why we make all of our breads, cinnamon rolls and more in-house, from scratch, using only the finest ingredients, like real butter and real vanilla.

Our sourdough bread is made using a traditional sourdough starter, giving it a tangy, complex flavor that's perfect for our sandwiches and toast. We also offer a wheat, white and sourdough rye breads that are soft and flavorful.

Our biscuits are light, fluffy, and buttery, and pair perfectly with our homemade sausage gravy. And our cinnamon twist bread, used for our French Toast, is a customer favorite - it's sweet, buttery, and packed with cinnamon flavor.

We also make our own hamburger buns from scratch. Our ginormous cinnamon rolls are a must-try. These giant buns are loaded with cinnamon sugar and Covered in real cream cheese frosting.

We take pride in making everything from scratch. It's a labor of love that we believe sets us apart and keeps our customers coming back for more. So come on in and taste the difference for yourself!

What are customers saying?

This is the first time, in all my reviews, that I'm not writing so much a review as a love letter to a restaurant! This place is great! Home made EVERYTHING! The prices wouldn't make you think that, but it is. Bread, buns, hash browns that are NOT dehydrated. There is a lot of care that goes into the planning of the menu. Service was fast for every table being full. Portion sizes were enough for three people! Absolutely great. I'm really glad I finally tried this place.

Homemade *everything*: bread, buns, pastries, you name it. One of the best burgers I've ever had: 1/2 lb and cooked perfectly. Definitely should be on your list of must eat places in Portland/Clackamas. Breakfast served all day.

Great food not like most places it always has plenty of food on the plate, we also got a very large cinnamon roll and cinnamon swirl bread and took those home. Every time we go on that side of town (airport) we stop and get breakfast. I have not tried anything I have not liked. Sometimes they are busy but there service does not lack, top notch
